My Story

My Grandmother Bowe first introduced me to the magic of Disney World when I was a little girl, and it has held a special place in my heart ever since. She took me to see each of the parks and all of the excitement they had to offer, and was more than happy to go on all of the rides with me. Our favorite was Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, in the Magic Kingdom.

Many years later, as an adult, I was disappointed to find out that the ride was moved to Disneyland in Anaheim, California. So in 2019, when I took my first trip to Disneyland with my daughter, Ashleigh, I made sure that Mr. Toad’s was the first item on our bucket list. With tears in my eyes, I couldn’t help but smile as the ride took off, and nostalgia came rushing back to me all at once. Although my grandmother was no longer with us, for those few moments that day, I felt her with me again. I could practically hear her laugh and smell her perfume. Never could I have imagined that such a simple, yet meaningful experience would change my life forever. I have my Grandmother Bowe to thank for my passion for Disney World, and I am so grateful that I have been able to make many more priceless memories there with my husband and daughter over the past 20 years.

I have now visited Disney World over 40 times and stayed in 14 different resorts, ranging from value to deluxe. I also had the amazing experience of sailing on the Disney Dream cruise ship in 2012 and again 2014. The Universal Orlando Theme Parks are another favorite destination of mine. Visiting Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade, and experiencing all things Harry Potter at Universal Studios and the Islands of Adventure will never get old.

My husband Nick and my daughter Ashleigh are a little more adventurous than me, so they love the more adrenaline-pumping rides, such as The Hulk, Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket, and the new Velocicoaster. Since theme parks like Disney World and Universal are such an important part of my life, in March 2019, I decided to become a personal travel advisor so I could help share the magic with others.
